The Merkle brand offered plenty of creative opportunities, from colorful gradient design and large typography to minimal line graphics and soft 3D elements—bringing the highly technical, abstract concepts of digital transactions and monetization to life.

While setting the visual direction for the website landing page, we used distinctive color gradients to give each page and product a unique header, creating a system that felt both cohesive and memorable.

Throughout the custom web design, you’ll find subtle gradient backgrounds that fade smoothly, bold typography highlighting key numbers and stats, and a sleek, clean look for every detail. The color palette and gradients add depth, while the dark typography stands out against the soft backgrounds, showcasing our expertise.

Merkle’s brand guide had a glassy 3D visual style that we drew inspiration from when creating spot illustrations. Utilizing the brand style, we turned technical concepts into mesmerizing animations that leveraged the glassy look and feel, illustrating two of Merkle’s core values — protection & transparency.

Our hero animation had a lot of attention to detail, as it was used to represent their flagship product, River. We iterated on ideas of protection, finally landing on an almost force field like bubble, bouncing off attacks that threaten the transaction as it processes.

Many of the illustrations and ideas we explored when creating spot illustrations revolved around ideas of speed and monetization, both key aspects to Merkle’s products that help simplify the complex work that happens behind the scenes.
